The search for the MiG-29 has no results yet
Baku/08.08.19/Turan: The search for the MiG-29 plane of the Azerbaijani Air Force and its pilot Rashad Atakishiyev that crashed on July 24 at sea has not yet give results.
According to the pilot"s relative, Gabil Huseynli, in recent days due to bad weather, searches were suspended. A large number of technicians and specialists were involved in the search. "Turkish experts took a photograph of the bottom of the sea to detect traces of the aircraft. However, so far this has not yielded results," Huseynli said.
The plane controlled by Colonel Rashad Atakishiev, crashed 20 km. from the coast. According to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, at about 10 p.m., the connection with the MiG-29 aircraft performing a night training flight was suddenly lost and it disappeared from the radar. According to the preliminary version, the plane crashed into the sea.
