The SSS detained reporters-racketeers
Baku/13.08.18/Turan: The State Security Service (SSS) of Azerbaijan exposed a group of racketeering journalists. According to the message of the Center for Public Relations of the department, the SSS launched an investigation into the information that the founder and editor of the newspaper " El Khakimi" and the same-name site Zohrab Agayev, as well as his subordinate Gunel Jumshudov and a number of other persons, blackmailed the officers and ensigns of military units with video materials.
As a result of operational and investigative measures, Agayev was caught red-handed with extortion and receiving money. On the money were found traces of special powder. The investigation found that these individuals followed people using technical means, conducted a hidden survey, illegally carried out operational activities. In particular, they conducted video shooting of intimate contacts, and then blackmailed the persons involved in it, demanding money.
At the moment, the operative and investigative measures in the criminal case are continuing, all those who have suffered from the illegal actions of Agaev and Jumshudov are being identified, the report says.
It is not reported where exactly the illegal actions took place, why it is only about the servicemen, on what article the case is brought.
The newspaper or website is unknown in the country's media space. However, there are hundreds of such false journalists in the country. -06D--
