If to agree with the President Ilham Aliyev, then it comes out that the most influential forces in the country are pro-Armenian lobby and national traitors. They have done so much noise and spoiled the national holiday of "Eurovision". That was the logic of the argument of the head of state at the latest meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
It seemed that the president wanted to talk not about the problems of the economy, as the format of the meeting provides, but about those who does harm to the state.
It seemed that the main speaker is trying to convince himself, and not the others. It seemed that only Elchin Guliyev, the commander of border troops, believed in the sincerity of the speaker. I am always surprised at how thoroughly the commander of border troops writes all said by the head of state about square meters of housing, the amount of potatoes, issues of culture, data on changes in GDP, on interest rates, the opinion of Fitch Moody`s, etc. Why does the main border guard need it? Or maybe he is not a border guard? ... Strange thoughts come when you watch it all.
But I deviated from the main theme. So, why are the enemies so strong and powerful, that they can spoil the mood of the Family?
One of my colleagues, a foreign journalist, once said: "Your authorities have a strange logic. They think that if to restrict the entry of foreign media to the country, and pay those who are willing to write good things about them, they will correct their image. Is it possible to carry out such a policy in the age of Internet and globalization, and open borders?
Do they think that after the hysterical claims made by Ali Hasanov and speeches of the President, anyone can take them seriously?
It turns out that the whole world is against this government; all envy him (!) and want do harm. And immediately after such accusations Ilham Aliyev started talking about the growing authority of the country, about full support for his policy, about Azerbaijan’s joining the UN Security Council. Where is the logic?
I remember one of the earliest speeches of Heydar Aliyev in the mid-90's when he called all human rights defenders the agents of Western intelligence services, because this was the way how he perceived international criticism on human rights violations. Eventually he realized that such criticism is one of the rules of a game of democratic society, and put up with criticism.
It is difficult to say how long should we expect in this situation, but it is clear that the continuity in this matter is not observed. The reaction to the international criticism has the opposite result.
All this means only one thing – opening of a season of hunting "traitors of the nation." However, we would like to remind Ilham Heydarovich something. It is strange to see that the events of March 1 this year has left beyond the attention of this such a considerate man. More than four months passed, and he has not given an assessment of what had happened!
Why is a person who responds to a critical publication in a foreign tabloid, silent about the riots in his country?
Why does not the head of state explain to his citizens his views on the causes, steps taken by him and steps he is going top take?
I think sooner or later he will do it, as soon as he finds the "ground" to blame "national traitors" for what happened, and of course, the Armenian lobby, how without them? Nothing happens in the country without it!

We are at the forefront of the struggle for the right to life, freedom, and justice. Ukraine seeks a just peace that will lay a solid foundation for a stable future for Europe and the World, and the only way of achieving this is to implement President Volodymyr Zelensky's Peace Formula (the Ukrainian Peace Formula).

On the eve of a large-scale flood approaching Baku, a disturbing incident occurred in the village of Buzovna, where a Lada Priora car fell into the ground, literally collapsing the road beneath it. The driver miraculously remained unharmed but vowed to seek justice, promising to file an official complaint with the prosecutor’s office against Azersu OJSC, the state-owned water supply and sewerage company, often associated with deeply rooted corruption.

In a bit of historic irony, powerful oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili has managed to inspire rare unity across Georgia’s cacophonous political scene twice in his life. His money and influence forged the broad-based consolidation of opposition forces that brought him to power in 2012, and now, 12 years and three electoral cycles later, a similar pattern of opposition convergence could send him packing.
