Armenians in Karabakh blocked the monitoring of mines by representatives of Baku/UPDATED/
Baku/10.12.22/Turan: The monitoring of mineral mines in Karabakh (the former Mardakert region) scheduled for December 10 by representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan was disrupted by the Armenian side.
Recall that the representatives of Baku were supposed to inspect the Gyzylbulag gold deposit and the Demirli copper-molybdenum deposit.
At the entrance to the indicated deposits, accompanied by Russian peacekeepers, the convoy of vehicles was stopped and not allowed to enter the territory of the mines. The road was blocked by dozens of young people in civilian clothes.
Negotiations between the command of the peacekeepers and the Armenian side did not produce any results.
At the same time, the separatist leaders made it clear that they did not intend to allow representatives of the state bodies of Azerbaijan to enter the mineral deposits.
In particular, the new head of the "government" Ruben Vardanyan stated that he does not see the future of Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan and Karabakh does not recognize the laws of Azerbaijan.
Official Baku has not yet made statements on this issue.
Recall that the above-mentioned mines have been operated since 1992 by Bays Metals, registered in London. In 2015, residents of the surrounding villages demanded to stop the operation of the mine due to the fact that waste from processing was dumped into the Sarsang reservoir for a long time and this led to the mass death of fish. -02B-
