Baku Crystal Hall - State Property
"The Palace of Baku Crystal Hall is not private property and is public property," said the press secretary of the State Committee on Property of Gulu Khalilov, commenting on the information in the media about the mysterious transformation of the ownership of the Sports and Concert Complex .
The facility was put into operation on May 7 of this year, with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev. The State Property Committee ordered the construction of this facility and hired the company Alpine Bau Deutchland AG through tender for this purpose.
"We built the palace in time, and its fate was decided at the government level," Khalilov said, while stressing that there can be no question of the transfer of the complex to the private sector.
Transfer to the governmental departments of the facilities built due to the state budget is arranged by the order of the Prime Minister. However, the press-secretary of the Cabinet Akif Ali refused to give any information about the balance of the holder of the Baku Crystal Hall. Earlier, in June this year, the Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev told the press that the palace was not on the balance sheet of his department.
Transfer of state property to management and leasing and its privatization is carried out with the consent or at the direction of the State Property Committee.
The multipurpose sports complex, which is located on the waterfront of the capital, near the National Flag Square, holds 23 thousand people. - 08B -
