Famous Conductor from Azerbaijan Wins International Contest
Baku / 10.22.18 / Turan: A famous Azerbaijani conductor, head of the symphony orchestra of Istanbul University Ramiz Melik-Aslanov won the Grand Prix of the international contest Caspian Art.
As Ramiz Melik-Aslanov told Turan, the competition was by correspondence, in which up to 10 only symphonic conductors from different countries participated.
In this competition, many different nominations and the jury selected the winners of the video recording event.
Speaking about his creative plans, Professor Melik-Aslanov reminded that he has been living and working in Istanbul for more than 20 years.
"The orchestra is what keeps me here. I gave it my best years, and in return I received a complete creative understanding and, I"m not afraid of that, love. Of course, everything happens during work, but I have wonderful assistants who relieve me from routine concerns. In recent years, I finally completed an enormous work - I performed all the symphonies by Mozart, and in December we have a concert from the works by Tchaikovsky,
Mendelssohn and Bizet," said the maestro.
To the question whether he plans to perform in Baku, the conductor answered negatively. "I do not plan any performances in Baku, since there are no invitations from there," he concluded. -02B-
