New Music Festival Opens in Gabala
The first concert at the Gabala International Festival of Classical Music was held in the Caucasus Resort Hotel in Gabala. It was devoted to the memory of the outstanding singer Muslim Magomaev, whose 70th anniversary will be commemorated this year.
The pianist Farhad Badalbeyli, cellist Dmitry Yablonsky, pianist Murad Adigozalzadeh, vocalists Farid Mamedov and Sabina Asadova, and others performed at the concert.
The festival will run until August 5, with numerous musical groups from different countries performing indoors and outdoors in this picturesque mountainous resort of northern Azerbaijan.
The official opening ceremony of the festival will be held on July 25. These festivals have been held in Gabala for four years. -02D-

Ahmet Güneştekin answered questions from Turan Information Agency a few days after the opening of his solo exhibition, Lost Alphabet, held in the 8,000-square-meter indoor halls of the Feshane Cultural Center, managed by the Istanbul Municipality. The exhibition, inaugurated by Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, will remain open until July 20.
