The Film White Blood to Take Part in Festivals
The short film White Blood shot by the young Azerbaijani directors Khayyam Abdullayev and Elmaddin Aliyev goes to the United States for the Milwaukee Short Film Festival.
The movie has already participated at the 39th International Festival in Ghent, Belgium, and in December, it will go to another competition - Dubai International Film Festival.
Shot in studio EXA Production, the film White Blood tells the story of a nomadic family, whose farm was on the verge of extinction. Near death, the aged head of the family asks his wife to fulfill the last testament - to feed him milk, as a symbol of all beginnings. So, symbolizing the death of the head of the family, and perhaps the transition to life after death, breast milk, according to the plot, starts another life.
The film was shot in Absheron. "Movie is not just to come and see. We would like our audience to be able to read the movie as a book, discuss it, and see its essence. For us, directors, this is very important," the authors said. -06D-

People seek to learn about past eras by conducting research on the internet, watching films, or being regular attendees of theatrical performances. Some periods in cultural history have not been deeply studied, and finding precise, detailed information in the Azerbaijani language is nearly impossible. One such period is the Qajar era, which lasted from 1794 to 1985.
