UFAZ deepens cooperation with universities in France
Baku / 15.01.20 / Turan: A Memorandum of Understanding was signed today between the Azerbaijan-French University (UFAZ), Total E&P Absheron, Strasbourg University (Unistra) and Pasha Bank OJSC.
The document provides for the strengthening of cooperation between UFAZ and Unistra in the field of academic exchange and professional cooperation.
Rector of Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry Mustafa Babanli said that in 2020 125 young people would become UFAZ graduates.
French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Zachary Gross noted that UFAZ personifies successful cooperation between the two countries.
The ambassador said that the announced scholarship program will allow Azerbaijani students to receive free education at universities in France.
Rector of UNİSTRA Michel Deneken, in turn, said that Azerbaijani researchers together with French colleagues would be able to conduct scientific research in Strasbourg.
Total E&P Absheron and PAŞA Bank ASC will support the implementation of the measures provided for in the memorandum.
* UFAZ was created in 2014 at the initiative of the presidents of the two countries.
The university has been operating since 2016 and training is conducted in 4 technical specialties.
The project is implemented by a consortium of French universities led by Unistra and the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry. -16D-
