"Azerbaijani trace" in the explosion of the Crimean bridge
Baku/10.10.22/Turan: On October 10 in the morning, more than ten large cities of Ukraine were subjected to massive rocket fire. As a result, more than 50 people died, dozens of houses and infrastructure were destroyed. The city of Zaporozhye was especially hard hit, 43 people died. In the morning on October 10, 8 people were killed in Kyiv. These attacks were Moscow's response to the destruction of the spans of the Crimean bridge by Ukrainians on October 8.
What will be the consequences of undermining the Crimean bridge? How will the relationship between Russia and Azerbaijan be affected by the fact that, in connection with the explosion on the bridge of a truck with explosives, the name of its owner, Samir Yusubov, an ethnic Azerbaijani, is mentioned?
Political commentator Shahin Jafarli answers these and other questions in the "Difficult Question" program.
According to him, the version according to which the Crimean bridge was blown up with the help of a truck filled with explosives seems unlikely, but the likelihood of a missile attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine is much higher.
“Apparently, Ukraine already has weapons capable of hitting targets at such a distance. Having received it, it did not fail to strike at the Crimean bridge, which is not only of great importance for the Russian army fighting against Ukraine, in terms of logistics, but also of political importance,” the political scientist said, adding that the Crimean bridge is also a kind of symbol and a Ukrainian strike against it is, in fact, a strike against the prestige of Vladimir Putin.
The expert also noted that the destruction of the bridge would complement the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the southern direction.
“Currently, the Ukrainian army is conducting a military operation to liberate the Kherson region. The task of the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is to have time to establish control over the right bank of the Dnieper before winter. The destruction of the Crimean bridge is extremely important in order to deprive the Russian troops of the transfer of manpower, equipment and ammunition across it,” he said.
Referring to the “Azerbaijani trace” in this story, Jafarli said: “We are all well aware of how the investigative bodies work in the post-Soviet countries. The creation of such "legends" is an integral part of their "activities".
