This is crisis of the system, Panah Huseyn
The state of the Azerbaijani economy fully reflects the state of the manat, said the ex-premier of Azerbaijan Panah Huseyn, in an interview to «Çətin sual» Turan agency. The formation of the black currency market also is an indicator of the situation. "The controlled economy has entered a phase of chaos, being under the influence of the laws of the authorities on the one hand, and the shadow rules, criminal groups, on the other hand. It can not last long," he said.
According to Huseyn, after the crisis in the banking and financial sectors, there will be a collapse of the real economy which will change into the political crisis. It's unavoidable.
Former Prime Minister believes that the main cause of the crisis in Azerbaijan is the internal factor. This is primarily due to the political system, but rather control system.
"Sooner or later, the crisis is unavoidable because of the concentration of the economy in the hands of one family," he said. According to Huseyn, the main condition for the change in the situation is the maintenance of the current government, led by President Ilham Aliyev.
Commenting on the latest steps in the economy, as well as strategic roadmaps, he stressed that these documents are written in "template".
"Road maps are unrealizable documents. For example, the prosperity of the black currency market accelerated after the adoption of the road map on the financial system. No need to wait for 2025 to ensure that the road map is not working. The results of 2017 show it," said Hussein.
Now there is a criminalization of the banking sector, where experts on money laundering have become members of the supervisory boards of banks. "In 2016, there was a collapse of the banking system, many banks now formally exist," he said. "Azerbaijan has missed opportunity to start real political reforms and now insurmountable crisis," said Hussein. The Azerbaijani society is against chaos and no one wants it. The main task is to get out of this situation with minimal losses," said the former Prime Minister. -71D-
