263 Low-Income Families to Make a Living
263 families in 13 districts of the country abstained from targeted social assistance. They have proved that they can make money under "self-help" and abandoned subsidies for the poor.
According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, the pilot project is successful, and the next year will cover not hundreds, but thousands of families. In the coming years it will attract the most current recipients of targeted assistance.
In January-July this year, targeted assistance was received by 141,378 families (629,129 people). Most of them (79,559 families) received assistance this year, and 39,573 families (110,162 people) received state aid for the first time.
The classification is in need for up to 18 years - 306,308 people, including 9,669 breastfeeding babies under one year of age. There are 9,764 minors with limited physical abilities and 59,926 disabled. 58,627 families have many children, 666 families have one disabled of the war, and 18,059 people have formal disability. In addition, there are displaced people - 12,552 families, and 29 families of martyrs.
Every month, each family receives an average of 110.26 manat, which is AZN 24.78 for each individual. Plastic cards are provided to 99.7% of the recipients of targeted assistance.
According to the Ministry of Labor, as of 2006, the criterion of the level of need for targeted assistance increased from 30 to 84 manat. - 17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
