70 million AZN invested into privatized enterprises
This year 70 million AZN has been invested into the state enterprises privatized through the investment competitons. There are about 300 new jobs at the enterprises, Kerem Hasanov, chairman of the State Property Committee, said at the session of the Committee.
Only one competition for investments into the Metallurgic sport complex in Ganja city was successful this year. Two winners of such competitions have got certificates of property for the privatized property.
Since early year approximately 350 objects, including auto transportation means, have been sold through “small” privatization. About 250 land plots were privatized. 229 land plots under privatized objects have been granted on lease. Shares of about 20 joint stock companies have been sold at the specialized monetary auctions. Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
