A decision on Agricultural Subsidies
At the regular meeting of the National Commission on Agricultural Subsidies under the chairmanship of the Minister of Agriculture Ismat Abbasov received the third in this year's decision to provide subsidies to companies that have implemented fertilizers under 50% of the cost. Since 2007, half of the funds for the sale of mineral fertilizers to farmers is subsidized from the state budget.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, it was decided to grant the five subjects subsidies totaling more than 4 million manat. Funds received government of "Aqrolizinq", and LLC Aqrokimya, Micro Az Feed and Gence Aqrokimya.
These companies have sold 19,104.6 tons of mineral fertilizers for 11.7 thousand farmers and agricultural companies for fertilizing 91.6 thousand hectares of land.
Subsidization of agriculture in Azerbaijan carried out from 2006. In 2013, the state budget for the provision of agricultural subsidies will be allocated 125 million manat, including mineral fertilizers - 25 million manat. On today used about 9 bn at the realized volume of mineral fertilizers.
In 2012, these expenditures made up of 114 million manat. Of these, 18 million manat were allocated to suppliers of fertilizers.
The Head of State has repeatedly demanded the government to improve the mechanism of agricultural subsidies. Minister Ismet Abbasov said recently that this year's grants will be made available under the old rules. 08D

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
