AtraBank Shareholders in September to Discuss the Possibility of Capitalization
Commercial Bank OJSC AtraBank convenes September 28 of this year, the general meeting of shareholders.
As reported in the bank, the event will be held at the head office at 17 o'clock at the Nasimi district, R. Behbudov Street, 77. At the meeting, among other things, the shareholders will discuss the issue of increasing the end of next year, the bank's total capital to 50 million manat.
The decision of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan on July 25 this year, the minimum requirements for total capital of existing banks, and registered capital of newly established banks increased to 50 million manat. The new standards will be effective from January 1, 2014. The minimum requirement for the size of the total capital of banks in July 2007 is 10 million manat.
Controlling stake in the bank (73.9%) belongs to the family of Chairman of the Board Elmikhan Nabiyev. - 15B -

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less.
