Azerbaijan behind Its Neighbors in the South Caucasus on Internet Quality
Azerbaijan in the ranking of traffic NetIndex of the company Ookla as of Monday, September 10, took the 108th place in the world. This is a step below the position of the previous week. According to the index of Internet quality the country was not included in the required 54 positions.

The optimum speed of incoming traffic in Azerbaijan was 3.54 (0.5) Mbit / s, the official portal of the structure (http://www.netindex.com/download/2, 110/Azerbaijan). For comparison, in Georgia, the figure is 11.32, in Armenia - 6.35 Mb / s.
In Baku, the rate is 3.44 Mbit / s, in Masazir - 3,13 in Sumgayit - 2.62 Mb / s. Among the areas on the map, you can find Jalilabad and Goychay - 2.55 and 2.33 Mbit / s.
Chosen for the experiment were 285,824 unique IP-addresses. The study was based on the statistics of 20 local Internet service providers and telecom operators, mainly "fixated" on Baku. In the first place Eurosel LLC - 6.67 Mbit / s. On the following "bonus" of places marked Az.StarNet LLC and SOL, in which, respectively, 5.57 and 4.83 Mbit / s. Completing twenty Aztelekom - 2,59 Mbit / s, TransEuroCom LLC - 2,45 Mbit / s and Baktelekom - 2.14 Mbit / s.
Among mobile operators marked incoming traffic Azercell Telecom LLC from 3.37 Mbit / s.
The rating for the outgoing traffic (average - 1.44 Mb / s) are also statistics 20 local Internet service providers and telecom operators. In their networks during the trial period the maximum speed of outgoing traffic was fixed at 3.92 Mbit / s (network AZERTELECOM), and the minimum rate - 0.46 Mb / s (Azerbaijan Data Network). - 17D-

On November 4, a virtual conference titled "COP29 Action Program: Energy Initiatives and Commitments" was held at the initiative of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Energy, the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the International Energy Agency (IEA), and specialized UN agencies—UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) and UNECE (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe)—ahead of COP29.
