Baku hosts third Azerbaijani-Bavarian business forum
Baku hosts the third Azerbaijani- Bavarian business forum, which dates back to 2008. This year's event attracted a record number of Bavarian entrepreneurs.
Together with representatives of 26 companies there is the Federal State of Bavaria government delegation. The delegation was welcomed by the German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Heidrun Tempel , Deputy Chief of entrepreneurship development policy of the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Huseyn Pashayev, who wished the participants fruitful work.
Ulrike Wolf, Head of Foreign Economy and marketing of the State Ministry of Economy, Printing, Energy and Technology of the Land of Bavaria gave a presentation of the capabilities of the economy of one of the most developed lands of Germany. According to her, Bavaria owns a third of the foreign trade turnover with Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan ranks third in exports to CIS countries from Bavaria. In addition, a third of the German companies working in Azerbaijan have Bavarian roots.
"Bavaria is not only Siemens, BMW and other famous German large companies. The share of small and medium enterprises in Bavaria is 99%. On their own account for 52% of exports from Bavaria," she said.
On the possibilities of expanding trade and economic relations with Azerbaijan reported Vice President Chamber of Commerce of Munich and Upper Bavaria Kenig - spinner Stephanie (Stephanie Spinner-Konig). Forum continued its work in bilateral meetings between Azerbaijani and Bavaria. Bavarian companies are mainly construction and infrastructure , financial sector , agribusiness, chemical and energy industries .
Today a delegation from Bavaria visited the ministries of energy, economy and industry. Bavarian businessmen were invited to participate in the creation of state-supported industrial and technological parks . Bavarians arrived in Baku from Tbilisi , where he also held a business meeting. - 08C-

Starting next year, the Azerbaijani government will adopt a new policy towards entrepreneurs who export domestic products abroad but fail to return a portion of their earnings to the country. This issue often concerns Azerbaijani tomatoes sold in Russia.
