Banks are suing poor clients
The higher activity of banks in consumer lending , the more lawsuits against incorrect clients.
According to the portal femida.az, working on this week ( 17-21 February ) the courts of various levels of capital considered 120 cases , most of which ended either in favor of creditors or were postponed.
Leader is DemirBank with 13 claims against customers . Following with 10 lawsuits is JSC Unibank. Nine claims are from the International Bank of Azerbaijan and JSC Bank Technique, and 8 from the bankrupt Royalbank.
On account of Amrahbank there are 7 , Capital Bank and Zaminbank - 6 , Bank of Baku - 5 out of disputes regarding granting consumer loans. Other banks are less involved in discussions with the poor clients .
Recall, December 1 (Annual Report of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan is not ready yet ) 2013 households retained the status of largest borrowers - they were allocated 39.6% , or 6 billion 35.2 million manat or 39.6 % of the total amount of credits. For comparison - in construction and real estate was invested 2 billion 360.4 million ( 15.5% of the mass of credit ), in trade and services - 2 billion 243.8 million ( 14.7%) .
In industry was invested only 1 billion 461.2 million ( 9.6%) , in agriculture and processing industry - 734.1 million manat ( 4.8% ) , transport and communication - 500.9 million ( 3.3%). Aggregate bank lending to energy, chemistry and the development of natural resources totaled 299.2 million ( 2%).
On December 1, 2013 bank lending to the economy of Azerbaijan amounted to 15 billion 245.3 million ( +30 % compared to the same period in 2012 ) . - 17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met today with Ahmed Moallim Figi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, at the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry. This meeting followed a discussion held the previous day between Figi and Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov.
