BTC Co made extra $350 million by pumping about 10 million tons of transit oil
Transportation of Turkmenistan oil via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) has brought additional profit to the shareholders of BTC Co pipeline company, reads the report of Wood Mackenzie, international consulting company, which has evaluated SOCAR Trading’s operations.
According to the estimates of Wood Mackenzie, BTC Co incomes from transit of Turkmenistan oil from July 2010 to the end of 2013 totaled $350 million.
SOCAR Trading delivers Turkmenistan oil to Baku by the tankers of the Caspian Shipping Company of Azerbaijan and then it is pumped into BTC pipeline from the Sangachal terminal. 9.77 million tons of Turkmenistan oil has been transported via BTC till January 1m 2014.

The 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change has taken a significant step towards a unified global response to climate change.
