By End of Year, Insurers to Gather Over 400 Million Manat
The volume of the insurance market by the end of the year will exceed 400 million manat (40 AZN per person) – the local media were told by the chairman of Azerbaijan Insurers Association (AIA) Orkhan Bayramov.
According to him, in January-November on all types of insurance, including compulsory and life insurance, there was collected 382.8 million manat, which is 3.8% more than the same period last year.
Payments by insurers in proven cases amounted to 143.5 million manat (+ 29.9%), he said, adding that for every 100 manat of premiums there was 37.5 AZN of payments, which is the average European level.
Recall that up to 2013 the average payment was 15-17%, and the life insurance payment level was even less - 6%. --17D-
