Communication Allocated 31.6 Million AZN from State Budget
The state budget for 2016 for communication services allocated 31.6 million manats, of which 28 million will be spent on the implementation of reforms in the fields of communication, information and other spheres.
According to the report the Ministry of Communications and high technology, the cost of public services, as well as the central services of the government structure will exceed 2.16 million manats. The State Development Fund of Information Technologies will "absorb" a little more than 381.9 thous. AZN, with the authorized capital of 4 mln. AZN.

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
