Customs Collected 46.3% of Annual Plan
In January-June 2013 the State Customs Committee collected to the state budget customs duties and taxes in the total amount of 639.9 million manat. They provided 46.3% of the plan, according to the forecast for this year.
According to the SCC, the amount of customs duties, compared to the same period in 2012 increased by 16%, or more than 88 million manat. In total this year, customs officials have raised "the bar" on taxes and duties for a total of 180 million or 15%.
Only in June through the SCC there was provided 117 million manats to the state budget.
In the first half of the year the share of VAT was 468 million or 73.2% of the total amount of customs duties. For the same period in 2012, the figure was 64.8%. The share of customs duties (130 million manat) in the structure of customs duties reduced and made only 20.3% for the period.
In 2013, the government raised its forecast for customs duties from 1,200 million to 1,380 million manat. - 08D-
