Does Bakielektrikshebeke obey law?
BAKU/19.02.14/Turan : From 12:00 on February 21 from the power supply will be turned off all the subscribers of Bakielektrikshebeke (Baku Electric Company) in arrears to the organization.
In an announcement posted on the website www.bes.az, says that in January, an exception was made in view of the unprecedented cold weather ( in Azerbaijan electricity still is the main means of heating ) , but now the defaulters will be punished regardless of the person and status.
JSC Bakielektrikshebeke in 2008 and 2010 practiced mass arbitrary power outage, demonstrating voluntarism. We hope that this decision will not affect those who are paying the January arrears received another notice in early February.
Recall, according to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on January 6, 2010 , in the " use of electric energy" there were some changes . Thus, paragraph 14 indicated that the consumer must pay for electricity for 1 month from the date of receipt of the notice . In the earlier version he was given 5 banking days to pay.
According to experts, this is due to the expected presidential decree on the debt write-off of natural monopolies including Bakielektrikshebeke. It is also expected debt relief of the population for utilities. So the organization is trying to get as much money as possible on the eve of the financial "amnesty." - 17D-
