Draft Agreement on Air Communication between Azerbaijan and Israel Agreed
In Tel Aviv, talks were held between the delegations of aviation authorities of Azerbaijan and Israel, during which a draft intergovernmental agreement on air communication between the two countries was initialed.
The delegations of civil aviation authorities of the two countries also discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of air transport and reached an agreement on the implementation of the scheduled passenger and cargo flights by the companies of both countries. The press service of the Civil Aviation Administration of Azerbaijan told Turan.
Representatives of the airlines of both countries participated in the negotiations.
In February 2016 the state airline AZAL reported that representatives of the Israeli national airline - El Al Israel Airlines visited Azerbaijan and conducted an audit in the field of aviation security at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport. El Al representatives then announced plans to open direct flights from Tel Aviv to Baku by the Israeli low-cost airlines El Al and Arkia in 2016.
Currently, direct flights between Baku and Tel Aviv are performed by AZAL. The flights are made twice a week (Tuesday and Sunday). The minimum price is roughly 540 manat for a one-way ticket and 652 manat for a round-trip ticket. -----08D

At today’s session of the Milli Majlis, Azerbaijan’s parliamentarians discussed and approved in the first reading a draft law increasing the minimum subsistence level for 2025. The updated figures reflect a modest rise of 10 manats, setting the nationwide living wage at 285 manats. For specific demographics, the levels are 305 manats for the working population, 232 manats for pensioners, and 246 manats for children. The same session also approved the criterion of need at 285 manats for the coming year, aligning it with the national living wage.
