Foreign trade turnover increased by 3.8 %
Baku/19.12.13/Turan : In January-November 2013 foreign trade turnover amounted to $ 31,721.8 million, which is 3.8 % higher than a year earlier, told Turan the State Customs Committee .
Within 11 months of this year , Azerbaijan exported goods worth about $ 22 billion, which is 0.46 % less than in the comparable period in 2012 .
The lion's share of exports (over $ 20 333 million , or 92.46 %) was energy (crude oil , petroleum products and natural gas) . The export of oil and gas products not made ??$ 1 659 million , an increase of 8.4%. The countries of the European Union accounts for 47.2 % of exports ( $ 10.4 billion ) . The share of public sector in export portfolio is 93.2% ( $ 20.5 billion ) .
During this period , the country imported goods worth $ 9,728.5 million that is 15.1% more than in the comparable period in 2012 . Imports from the EU amounted to $ 3,338.8 million or 34.3% of total imports . The public sector accounts for 30.9% ( $ 3 billion ) of imports. Trade surplus was $ 12,264.6 million.
This year, Azerbaijan had trade relations with 148 countries. It exported 2,031 items of goods and imported 6,051.
Import-export business employed 6,627 business entities, of which 3,736,616 are a legal entity , including 277 companies belong to the public sector.
Note that in Azerbaijan there are no formal restrictions on the employment of foreign economic activity . However, SCC has been applied and continue to apply the obstacles to the implementation of import operations. Import market is divided between the various power groups and identity and unauthorized entry is forbidden here .
