France Invites Azerbaijani Companies to Invest
We are interested in Azerbaijani companies investing in the economy of France, said French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Aurelia Bouchez at the press conference devoted to the annual "Month of investment in France."
The Ambassador noted that the high level of relations between Azerbaijan and France and individual companies create a good ground for the investors.
She noted that investing in France, companies gain access to European Union markets.
“Investments of Azerbaijani companies in France help differentiation of the Azerbaijani economy. Companies investing in the French economy, use the latest technology in various fields and will be able to apply it in Azerbaijan,” said Aurelia Bouchez.
The Director of investment projects, the French representative on trade and investment Jerome Klose, in turn, said that France is attractive for investment in all sectors of the economy, and especially in the spheres of real estate, agriculture, tourism, restaurant business, information technology.
He said that already two Azerbaijani companies have invested in the economy of France. Not divulging the names of the companies, it is reported that one Azerbaijani company has invested in real estate and the other - in the financial sector.
“In addition, there are Azerbaijani companies, which operate in London. However, after Brexit such companies will not be able to work in the EU space. We offer these companies to move to France,” he said.
At the press conference it was said that in terms of the economy France is sixth in the world, and the French market is the second in Europe. In addition, France is ranked 7th in the world for foreign direct investment. 32% of French exports are accounted for by foreign companies operating in the country. 46.7% of the capital in the stock market in France is foreign. ------71D
