Gilan Textile Park in Sumgayit Becomes Independent Entity
Gilan Textile Park acting in Sumgayit since 2012 has separated from the holding company and began to operate as an independent business entity. The work to create a separate legal entity (LLC Gilan Textile Park) was completed in February, according to the Ministry of Taxes.
According to Turan, not all employees of the company have an employment relationship with the new employer. Only part of about 0.5 thousand workers of the textile park have concluded employment contracts. Recall that in spite of the labor law, the textile factory began to register labor relations with its employees since September 2013, after 10-month activities of LLC Gilan.
In the textile park textile products are made from Azerbaijan cotton. The enterprise has weaving, dyeing and garment factories. In the company under the brand name Giltex bedroom sets are made, as well as uniforms for different purposes. It is alleged that the production does not use chemicals harmful to human health.
Currently, commissioned by the Organizing Committee of the First European Games in Baku, 110 thousand polo and t-shirts for men and women are being made in Baku. Part of the order is executed at the other holding enterprise, JSC Qala Trikotaj in Baku.
Textile Park Gilan works on one shift. The average monthly salary in the company is about 280 manat. The employees are provided with free meals. The enterprise management consists mainly of specialists invited from Turkey.
Note that after launching Textile Park Gilan, import of bedclothes into Azerbaijan was limited to a minimum. -----08B
