"Green Corridor" Rules Approved for Transportation of Goods through Customs
The terms of using the "green corridor" and other access systems for the transportation of goods and vehicles across the customs border have been approved.
The document is reinforcement to the March 4 decree on additional measures related to the continuation of reforms in the customs system. With a view to more rapid and transparent implementation of the customs clearance of goods and means of transport and the development of relations between the customs officers and the citizens based on modern principles of management, the State Customs Committee (SCC) is to prepare and submit to the head of state the rules of the project, ensuring the creation of a "green corridor" and other access systems accepted in international practice for the transportation of goods and vehicles across the customs border by means of preliminary submission of short import declarations to the customs authorities in electronic form.
In order to enhance transparency proposals on improvement of customs legislation are to be prepared and submitted to the President of the country.
SCC is entrusted to take steps to create the appropriate infrastructure in connection with the use of access systems provided by the rules approved by this decree in two months.
The approved regulations will come into force on 1 August 2016. --17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
