GUAM Countries Intend to Simplify Mutual Customs Inspection
Baku hosted XXII meeting of the steering committee for the project GUAM Trade and Transport Facilitation (TTF). The event discussed the draft protocol between the customs administrations of Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova "On the mutual recognition of the individual results of customs control of goods and vehicles in the implementation of customs procedures."
According to the head of the Customs Cooperation Department of the International Relations Service of Ukraine, the state fiscal Oleg Semenenko, mutual recognition of customs controls will help to accelerate customs procedures and simplification. Minutes after minor revisions and amendments will be submitted for final discussion.
According to the GUAM Secretary General Valeri Chechelashvili, between some member countries of GUAM there are no direct borders, so the recognition of the individual results of the customs inspection is very important.
The Protocol provides for the member countries of GUAM accompany the goods and vehicles moving across the state border of the organization, the relevant documents provided by the customs legislation of the GUAM countries.
In turn, each of the countries on the basis of reciprocity, recognize the results of customs control of goods and means of transport, carried out in other Member States and uses them during the customs control of these goods and vehicles transported across the state border of the GUAM countries. --17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
