In the five months of this year 15,495 vehicles were delivered to Azerbaijan, which was 15,081 units less than in the comparable period of 2014.
During the mentioned period purchased from abroad were 13,912 passenger cars and this was 13,532 units less than in the same period last year. Some of these cars were purchased by the state for the expansion of the car park and road police patrols, as well as for the guest service of the first European Games in Baku.
Since the beginning of the year 497 buses have been purchased - three times more than in the first five months of last year. Most of these buses were purchased by the state budget for the maintenance of athletes and visitors.
Recall that in 2012, Azerbaijan delivered 101,255 vehicles (including 89,652 passenger cars), in 2013 – 104,385 (94,879), and in 2014 – 63,368 (57,615).
