International Seminar on Disability
The Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare in collaboration with the World Bank will hold an international seminar on "Assessment of disability in Azerbaijan: the achievements and future steps."
According to the press service of the leading social structure, this problem is urgent, and the purpose of the seminar is holding analysis together with experts from international organizations in determining the country's system of social and medical rehabilitation of disability, learning about existing in the world in the field of best practices and opportunities for its use.
The seminar will bring together experts in disability and rehabilitation of the World Health Organization and the World Bank, representatives of the relevant local government agencies and international organizations operating in Azerbaijan.
The event will discuss the degree of importance of reforms to improve the evaluation criteria of disability, the difficulties of the transition process with the medical model of rehabilitation of persons with disabilities in the social model. --17D-
