Internet in Azerbaijan "Marking Time"
Azerbaijan, although it retained the optimal speed of Internet traffic - 3.55 Mb / s, yet dropped 6 "high-speed" steps - up to the 112th position in the world.
As the official portal of the company Ookla (http://www.netindex.com/download/2,110/Azerbaijan) reports, this is due to the fact that the speed of the Internet has increased competition in the territories. For comparison, in Georgia, the figure is 12.15, in Armenia - 6.21 Mb / s.
According to the index of quality internet country is not included in the required 54 positions.
Local providers about possible razed, and the rate of the capital, where the largest number of users increased from 3.51 to 3.58 Mbit / s.
In the center of Baku the speed is 2.58 Mbit /s, in Masazir - 3.19, in Sumgayit - 2.58 Mb / s. Among the areas on the map, you can find Jalilabad and Goychay - 2.71 and 2.40 Mbit / s.
Chosen for the experiment were 289,799 unique IP-addresses. The study is based on the statistics of 20 local Internet service providers and telecom operators, mainly "fixated" on Baku. In the first place Eurosel LLC - 5.68 Mbit / s. On the following "bonus" of places marked Az.StarNet LLC and SOL, with, respectively, 5.43 and 4.62 Mbit / s.
The companies SMART SISTEMZ TECHNOLOJI MMM to 2.43 Mbit / s, Baktelekom - 2.35 Mbit / s and TransEuroCom LLC - 1.91 Mbit / s close the twenty.
Among mobile operators marked the incoming traffic of Azercell Telecom LLC with 3.41 Mbit / s.
The rating for the outgoing traffic (the best - 1.36 Mb / s and 104 in the world) also represents statistics for the 20 local Internet service providers and telecom operators. Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
