Japanese Companies Interested in Economy of Azerbaijan
The Foundation of Export Promotion and Investment in Azerbaijan (AZPROMO) held a meeting with the head of Japan's World Investors TV Kazuyasu Ishida.
The meeting was organized on the initiative of Azerbaijan- Japan Public Union Sakura. The report from AZPROMO says Kazuyasu Ishida expressed interest in companies from their countries to cooperate with Azerbaijani entrepreneurs in the fields of agriculture, finance and real estate.
According to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan for the first nine months of 2013, the bilateral trade amounted to $ 266.3 million, a 43.4 % increase over the comparable period in 2012. Merchandise exports to Japan ($ 22.5 million) increased by almost 60 times, while imports in the opposite direction ($ 243.8 million) - 31.5 %. - 08D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
