JSC Tamiz Shahar first earned on garbage

Baku/05.05.14/Turan : In 2013 the state JSC Tamiz Shahar achieved a net profit of 1.75 million manat. This was possible due to the functioning of the plant on incineration of municipal solid waste in December 2012.

Over the past year the Company operating income amounted to AZN 16,159,500, an increase compared with 2012 at 9.4 million manat, published in the press the financial report. During the year a single state grid was transferred to 111.3 million kilowatt / hour of electricity. It worked for 60 % of the design capacity.

For the payment of salaries and social security contributions were sent to more than 5 million manat. This is 78% more than in 2012 .

General and administrative expenses of the company in the past year decreased from 6,656,700 to 4 433.5 million manat.

In 2012, the loss of Tamiz Shahar amounted to AZN 2.7 million and exceeded the beginning of 2013 to 6.6 million manat.

Note that in 2013 Tamiz Shahar managed 568,300 tons of household waste. Incineration was sent 350,600 tonnes of waste was generated 134.1 million kilowatt / hour of electricity.

Plant for the incineration of municipal solid waste was built on the territory of Balakhani landfill and was commissioned in December 2012. It cost the state 346 million euros. Annual capacity is 231.5 million kilowatt / hour of electricity.

JSC Tamiz Shahar passed state registration in March 2009 and is subordinate to the Ministry of Economy and Industry. According to the order of the President of AR "On improvement of waste management in the city of Baku" on 6th August 2008, was founded JSC Tamiz Shahar for accommodation and disposal of household waste.
