Kaspar put into operation "Ship repair and shipbuilding" production association
President Ilham Aliyev on March 4 attended the opening of a new production association "Ship repair and shipbuilding," State Caspian Sea Shipping Company.
The state news agency AzerTAj reported that, according to the state program on moving transport and industrial enterprises away from the city center, part of the shipyard named after the Paris Commune and the ship repair and shipbuilding plant named after Ilham Allahverdiyev were dismantled, and a new venture was built close to the Zykh highway.
The construction works were carried out in 2011-2012. According to the head of the company Aydin Bashirov, they purchased and installed the latest machinery, equipment and tools for body welding, smelting, plumbing, electrical, ship repair work, work for machining and woodworking.
Over an area of ??2.2 hectares there were built six plants, laid the appropriate lines of communication, and the necessary infrastructure. Carried out on the territory were a large amount of bank protection works, constructed berths with a total length of about 1400 meters and breakwaters. Quays will simultaneously be in the repair of eight large vessels. On the volume of investment in the company is not disclosed.
It should be noted that SOCAR and a group of investors built in the Garadagh district of Baku a new shipyard, which is scheduled to be commissioned in 2014. -08D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN.
