Labor Inspectorate on Violations of Law
The employees of the state labor inspection services in the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare in the first half of the year revealed 8,076 violations of labor legislation (minus 12.8% against July 1 of the previous year).
According to the press release, in connection with the abuses administrative penalties of 2 million manat were imposed and 53% or 1,047,777 manat of that was transferred to the state budget (+119,421 manat or +12.8% to the same period last year).
Most of the violations were found in the private sector, particularly in shopping centers, catering facilities, as well as in wholesale and construction. --17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
