List of Goods Exempt from Customs Duty Supplemented
The Cabinet of Ministers released the import of digital reception facilities from the payment of customs duties.
The decision was taken to support the development of digital (HD, 3D, and others) television broadcast corresponding to the standard DVB-T and DVB-T2 (Digital Video Broadcasting - Terrestrial).
The initiator of this step are the Ministry of Communications and High Technology and the Ministry of Economics.
The decision on the analogue TV switch-off has been implemented since the first of November 2016 on the Absheron Peninsula, and from December 1 - in other regions of the country, adopted by the National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting on 27 September.
For TV viewing in a digital standard a decoder is needed. Currently, these devices are available in post offices in the above mentioned areas. Decoders are offered at the price of 35 manat. ------08D
