List of Travel Restrictions Includes Representatives of Well-known Companies
Baku / 22.09.16 / Turan: The Ministry of Taxes has updated the list of persons restricted to travel out of the country due to the tax debts of the companies they lead.
In total, the list includes the names of 488 directors of companies in Baku and regions of the country. Notably, many of them run 5-10 or more companies.
The "black list" of the Ministry of Taxes has suddenly included several well-known companies. Among them is the Director of Accord Beton (subsidiary of JSC Industrial-Construction Investment Corporation Accord), Ugur Babayev.
Because of the debt to the state budget, foreigners cannot return to their homeland. For example, a representative of the company Kemoniks International Inc., Morana Smodlaka, the Director of Novanord Agroprom, Ozcan Neshetin, the Director of EMCN Yapi Endustriyel Insaat Sanayi ve Ticaret, Nihat Coskun, etc. have become "hostages" of late payment of tax debts.
The ban on travel outside the country is applied by the court. The plaintiff is the Ministry of Taxes. -----08D
