Members of Society of Appraisers Unhappy with Its Activity
Ramil Osmanli succeeded MP Khanhuseyn Kazimli as chairman of the Society of Appraisers of Azerbaijan. The new head of the structure was elected at today's report and election conference.
His two deputies are also known - Chairman of the Board Irada Shukurova and Nusret Ibrahimov (CEO of the consulting company MBA Group). The composition of the Board expanded - there are not 15 members as before, but 19.
The report meeting began with demands for change - the participants were dissatisfied with the governance, in particular disparity of the national standards of property valuation with the standards worldwide. According to Nusret Ibrahimov, in there are about 80 evaluation methodologies worldwide, but in Azerbaijan there are only 3. In addition, the promised publication of 14 specialized books in this field has not been implemented.
The conference decided to develop a strategy for the development of the society, to ensure its membership in international associations and training of its members, according to the advanced standards. --17D-
