Ministry of Finance Places Short-term Bonds for 10 Million AZN
The Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan has placed short-term government bonds worth 10 million manats.
Baku Stock Exchange said that during the auction eight investors submitted 15 bids. The nominal volume of orders amounted to 33 million 714.5 thousand manats.
The orders were submitted in the price range from AZN 96.4427 (14.9999% yield) to AZN 98.4029 (6.6002%).
The maturity of the bonds is 91 days, and the maturity date is November 29, 2016. -----72D

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less. This robust reserve position reflects Azerbaijan's fiscal stability and the government’s strategic economic management.
