NDC to Hold Conference "Formation of Capital Market: Trends, Appeals and Opportunities."
October 5 marks the 15th anniversary of the founding of the National Depository Center (NDC) of Azerbaijan, which services depository and registrar. In honor of this significant date NDC will conduct the international conference "Formation of Capital Market: Trends, Appeals and Opportunities" on this day.
In the NDC they told Turan that the conference will be attended by representatives from over 20 countries, experts, researchers, specialists in capital markets, and government regulators.
The conference will discuss the issues of state regulation of the securities market, the trend of international stock exchanges central depository, the possible role of banks in the stock market and other relevant issues.
During the conference, the NDC intends to sign memorandums on cooperation with the central depositories of Greece, Romania and Poland.
The authorized capital of the NDC is 1.4 mln. The founder of the center is the State Committee for Securities. The NDC serves over 1,800 issuers, and 100 thousand owners of securities. - 08D-

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less.
