Number of Contracts on Compulsory Property Insurance Increased by 43%
In January 2017 insurance companies concluded 7,535 contracts of compulsory insurance of immovable property, according to the Bureau on Compulsory Insurance.
Premiums on the above-mentioned insurance contracts amounted to 2.6 million manat in January.
69.7% of the contracts were concluded on houses and apartments, 0.4% on office buildings, and 29.9% on other real estate.
Compared to the same period of 2016, the number of insurance contracts grew by 43%, and the volume of premiums fell by 55%. ----71D

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
