Problem credits increase in the first half of the year by 1.69%
Gross impaired loans in Azerbaijan increased over first six months of the year by 1.69%, or 25, 6 million manats, according to the Central Bank. The total volume of overdue loans in Azerbaijan reached 1 539.8 million manat. The share of overdue loans in total loans was 8.35%, or 779 million manat. Since the beginning of the year the volume of overdue loans decreased by 61.2 million manat or 7.28%.
Problematic short-term loans declined over 6 months by 72.2 million manat, or 26.92% and amounted to 196 million manat.
The share of problem loans decreased from the beginning of the year to 1.17% in the short-term foreign currency loans and amounted to 13.93%. Gross impaired loans of long-term manat for the first half increased by 11 million manat, or 1.92%, and amounted to 583 million manats. The share of problem loans in the structure of long-term loans in manat for the half year had grown by 0.94%, and amounted to 7.14%.
The volume of overdue loans in foreign currency over the first half of the year increased by 92.5 million manat, or 13.84%, and amounted to 760.8 million manats. The share of problem foreign currency loans in the total number of loans has increased over the half-year by 2.32%, and amounted to 8.58%.
The volume of short-term foreign currency overdue loans during the reporting period increased by 17.8 million manat, or 5.83%, and amounted to 322.6 million manat. The volume of overdue foreign currency loans increased by 74.7 million manat, or 20, 55%, and amounted to 438.2 million manat.
