Reduced Number of ATMs and POS Terminals in Baku
As of February 1, in Azerbaijan there were 2,573 ATMs installed by local banks (minus 4.5% as of 1 January). According to the report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), of these 1,424 are in Baku, and the rest 1,149 are in the regions.
With regard to the POS terminals at trade and services, by 1 February in the country, their number amounted to 78,452 units (minus 2.3%). Most of them are in the capital - 45,675 (minus 6.7%), and in the regions there are 32,777 (+ 4.5%). The significant growth of these devices fell on the eve of, and the time of the first European Games.
Retail facilities have 77,123 or 98.3% of all the POS terminals installed. --17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
