Sericulture Breeding Station of Gakh Region Not Privatized
The Cabinet excluded the sericulture breeding station in the Gakh region from the list of enterprises opened for privatization in April this year. The reason for the revision of the government's decision has not been disclosed.
On April 17, 2016 the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decree "On measures of liquidation, reorganization and privatization of the self-supporting enterprises of the Agriculture Ministry." This decision was made in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Economy, the State Committee on Property and other interested parties. After 4 months the Ministry of Agriculture asked the government to exclude the above-mentioned company from the list of eight enterprises subject to privatization.
So far, none of the eight enterprises opened for privatization in April (silkworm cocoon plants, a machine-reclamation station, and a veterinary sanitary disinfection team) has been privatized. ----08D
