Silk Way Airlines Group reduced freight transportation
Azerbaijan Airlines cut freight transportation by 6.6% in the first five months of the year. The reasons for the fall trends cargo transport dynamics are not reported.
The committee said that since the beginning of the volume of air cargo totaled 42,800 tons, up 3,000 tons less than in January-May 2013. For the entire 2013 Azerbaijani pilots transported 126,000 tons of commercial cargo, of which 124,000 tons accounted for international traffic. During the year the volume of freight traffic increased by 53.6%.
Air Freight in Azerbaijan is operated by the private Silk Way Airlines and Silk Way West Airlines. In the public JSC Azerbaijan Airlines told Turan, that they deal only with passenger traffic.
LLC Silk Way West Airlines has three liners Boeing 747-400F and two Boeing B767-300F. Silk Way Airlines has 7 cargo ships of IL-76 and AN-12 3. In 2013, revenues of the airlines amounted to 517.4 million, an increase of 32%. In just the last five years, revenues of the airlines from freight totaled 1.7 billion manat, and balance profit - 465 million manat. - 08B-
