SOCAR introduces SCADA system to create virtual model of fields
Azneft, SOCAR’s production company, plans to introduce SCADA system to create virtual model of the fields.
SOCAR press office reported that application of SCADA will allow virtualizing the process of fields’ development, refining of extracted oil and gas, their storage, transportation and technological processes.
The system will be used for the uninterrupted control and distant management of the industrial processes and reduction of possible risks.
Application of SCADA system will also lead to reduction of costs and growth of production.
SCADA system will be introduced on the 28 May Oil & Gas Production Company as a pilot project. In the future the system will be applied at all Azneft’s subdivisions.—0—
