SOCAR started reconstruction of Heydar Aliyev oil refinery
SOCAR has started reconstruction of the Heydar Aliyev oil refinery, SOCAR reported.
“The goal of the works to accelerate introduction of Euro-5 fuel environmental standards.”
According to the program, SOCAR plans to upgrade catalytic cracking and some other installations.

SOCAR reported that in 2018-2019 the company plans to use technologies of UOP and other companies to build isomerization installation and installation for cleaning liquefied gas and gasoline fractions of the catalytic cracking installation from the sulphides.
The Heydar Aliyev oil refinery is the only plant in Azerbaijan, to which the abolished Azerneftyag was included since January 1, 2015.—0—

The delivery of natural gas from Azerbaijan to Bulgaria has been temporarily suspended due to technical issues, according to a press release from Bulgarian state gas supplier Bulgargaz EAD. The disruption, announced on January 6, is expected to be resolved by January 11, 2025.
