State Statistics Committee on State Budget by October 1
Azerbaijan's state budget by October 1 this year was performed with a slight deficit of 92.1 million AZN (0.2% of GDP).
According to the State Statistics Committee, the main treasury of the state received 12 billion 66.3 million AZN (minus 14.2% compared with the previous year). The body does not indicate the income from transfers from the State Oil Fund, but it can be calculated by subtracting other items. So, receipts for income tax amounted to 1 billion 570.5 million AZN (minus 9.3%), VAT - 2 billion 257.9 million AZN, income tax - 796.1 million AZN (+ 12.4%), and excise - 490.3 million AZN (minus 21.7% due to oil products).
State budget expenditures by 1 October were at 12 billion 158.4 million AZN (minus 4.2%). The development of the economy (investment projects) was spent 4 billion 791 400 000 AZN (minus 12.5%). Nationwide expenses increased by 17.2% - up to 1 billion 136.5 million AZN, expenditures on social protection and provision decreased by 2% (1 billion 434 million AZN). Education was spent 996.7 million AZN (+4.5%), law enforcement and judicial authorities - 736.3 million AZN (minus 1%), and health care - 454 million AZN (+0.9%).
Overall, this year's state budget revenues are provided at the level of 19 billion 438 million AZN, and the expenses - 21 billion 100 million AZN with a deficit of 1 billion 662 million AZN (2.8% of GDP). --17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
