Taxes Collected of 544.8 Million AZN
In January, the Ministry of Taxes transferred to the state budget 544.8 million manat, which is 12% higher than the forecast figure, according to ministry’s Center for Media and Communication.
In January last year the Ministry of Taxes did not disclose the amount of taxes collected. Therefore, it is not known how things are going in taxes compared to the previous year.
This year, the plan for taxes and state duties payable to the Ministry of Taxes is 7 billion 510 million manats. This is by 7.1% more than in 2016. -----08D

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
